About TVC

The Project

TVC — The Viral Compendium — is a web application providing a searchable, browsable database of in-house predicted viral protein structures from the Nomburg Lab at AITHYRA. It covers archaeal viruses, bacteriophages, and eukaryotic viruses, with integrated taxonomy, structural clustering, and domain annotations.

The Lab

AITHYRA is a research institute dedicated to understanding the structural biology of viruses. Our computational pipeline predicts protein structures at scale, clusters them by structural similarity, and annotates functional domains — making the virosphere accessible to researchers worldwide.
